You are required to take jee main and eligibility criteria for Jee main is followed then after you apply at the portal pf JAC Chandigarh and fill college and branch preferences. There are reservation for obc sc and st and etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good and Faculty is good. This college provided good placement and opportunities at this rank so I took the course. Faculty student ratio is good enough. Most of the faculty members are PHD. And all are PGs Exams are held but can get postponed sometimes

Internships Opportunities

Students go for internship in eighth semester for 6 month internships and get on campus opportunities for the same by companies like American Express and KPMG etc. and can turn them into pre placement offers students can indulge in various projects in Design and Innovation cell of College.

Placement Experience

From 7th sem onwards you can take internships and can get ppo in them or placements in 8th sem. Companies like Amazon Samsung, Kpmg and American Express and Paytm etc. visit campus for placements. Highest package is around 30 lpa and average is around 6.5 lpa and most pf the companies are here for IT related roles such as SDE and very few companies for core branches like GE, Isuzu and Mahindra and no of offers made is around 304.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no year over year increment in fee and cost to study is nominal considering potential ROI. There are some on campus internship opportunities and various scholarships as well. There are students from all over India.

Campus Life

There are Cultural fests and tech fests like GOONJ, biggest techno cultural fest of UIET held in the the month of March or April. UIET has its own Library which can suffice the need of its students no of books in library needed to be improved as it has only technical course related books that too in almost sufficient number, classes need upgradation mics projectors etc. UIET is department of PU so there are various sports activities available. Lots of groups for drama(osmium), sports(sports committee), mitra, star(for alumni relations)

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
