Remarks

We have to write class 12th examination and then we have to write JEE mains and then we will get a rank then we have to enter into the counseling and choose a college. The improvement would be the have a common entrance exam for all engineering colleges

This was the only college I was getting according to my rank and I was interested in ECE this was the only college I was getting an easy branch and I wanted to get a software job. Every teacher is well qualified, PhD from IIT

Placement Experience

Students get an opportunity for campus placement from the 7th semester. Most of the big companies visit our college. Some of them are Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Tekion, Deloitte, Tata Power, Tata Steel, and Tata motors. 92% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

NIT Jamshedpur is a government college so there is no specific Hike policy. There are many scholarships, and financial assistance provided by the college which is on the college website. 8 lakhs to study for 4 years

Campus Life

Ojas and culfest are our fest in NIT JAMSHEDPUR . There are many Sports and extracurricular activities in NIT Jamshedpur there are many social groups and clubs that are done by the students like NSS NSS Sankalp. Many technical teams for students.

Hostel Facilities

We get all the basic facilities in our hostel room we get a fan light table bed lan port. The mess food is average only. Every UG students get a hostel room in NIT Jamshedpur. Mess fee is 16k ans hostel fee is 25k.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
