Remarks

The fees was very high in comparison to JU , no doubt bits pilani has good placements similar to JU. But the amount you are investing is a lot. 25 lakhs is a big amount in comparison to 10k and then eventually getting a similar job.

Course Curriculum Overview

They are very talented and good in teaching. Professors here have PhD from reputed institute across the globe and from top iits. Ju has a ranking of 6th in the top research institutes. Also professor hold ranking in the Stanford top scientists list.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Goldman sachs , Microsoft , amazon all come to our college for internship and FTE roles. This year amazon took. 25 students for internship. Other than this Payu took 14 students for internship , Morgan Stanley took 10 students.

Placement Experience

Amazon, Microsoft , google, Goldman sachs, Morgan Stanley, etc. . Amazon took 35 students as FTE , payu took 24 students , optum took 23 students, google took 6 students , De Shaw took 6 students , Microsoft took 4 students.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is Asia's cheapest university where you have to just pay 2500 Rs for a year and 10000 for 4 years. That to will be removed if you are from a poor family. Your fees will be halved and again if you have good rank you will get a scholarship which means you are not investing any amount but earning that to for studying.

Campus Life

Best campus life ever. Sanskriti is the annual fest , Srijan is the tech fest. Its a university where you get a lot of opportunities. You have different clubs and societies like JU debating society, dance forum , fashion connoisseur etc.

Hostel Facilities

It has all the basic amenities , hostel for boys and girls. Room has a light fan ,table, chair , bed etc. We have a public bathroom which is taken care by the maids , coming to the mess, studnets only handle the mess and make food which they like and it works in a similar way. Coming to the ground infront of the hostel campus is very good and people play football cricket.

Hostel Fee: INR 15 per year

Interview Experience

Yes it was medium in hardness. The exam consists of two papers. The exam is called WBJEE which stands for west bengal joint entrance examination. The first paper will be purely of maths 100 marks and then second paper will be chemistry + physics of 100 marks.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

I prefer Jadavpur University over other colleges as it provides better jobs,better ways for bigger achievements, world-wide connections through professors and chances to be part of great projects and ideas. To be honest I haven't applied for any other colleges through the admission process under WBJEE and got selected in Jadavpur in the first attempt. The admission process of Jadavpur Univesity is done through counselling under WBJEE board and based on the merit in basis of score got in the WBJEE exam. The cutoffs are usually high compared to other colleges in West Bengal and students can get admission only through the WBJEE exam.
