I did not apply to any other colleges. However, I had secured a 98.6% in JEE Mains 2022 and could easily get a stream in NIT Trichy or any other NIT. My house is situated very close to JU and it would have been foolish of me had i left it to study in other colleges. JU ranks among the NIRF top 10 every year and it is indeed a matter of great acclaim to study here. To get admitted here, one needs a WBJEE rank of 2000 at the most. i applied all the govt. engineering college of west bengal. but in my 1st round , i have allotted the seat of Jadavpur University.i have choose this due to the minimal fees and high placement. no, i didnt get rejection. you have to clear WBJEE exam, HAve to secure Good rank accroding to your category. in this year cutoff is very high. in general category , maximum 2000 rank is good to enter the college....Read More

I chose this college because it's one of the best college in India , in 2024 its nirf engg. ranking is 12 which is awesome. Second is it's ROI whihc is the max in india. Talking about other reasons I prepared for JEE , I got IIEST Shipbur CSE but chose JU CSE. But I couldn't get into IIT that's the sad part... but I was very happy because people getting IIT having ranks like 2k,3k even left IIT for JU CSE. I got admitted after I've qualified WBJEE. I had applied to so many National Institutes and Universities by CUET and IIT JAM, GAT-B but got rejected by most of them. I got some Central Universities but that was not upto the mark and I wasn't ready to study outside my state to study in a tier 2 University. So I thought to give year gap but Ultimately I decided to apply to some State University like Presidency University and Jadavpur University. I first got selected for Presidency University and Then I got selected at Jadavpur University. JU is most reputed University in my state and once it was my dream to study there.
