Course Curriculum Overview
The course I am enrolled in is B.A.(Honors) English. I went for this course because of my ardent love for English Literature, and my goal of making a career in the same field. The faculty at the college is highly qualified and knowledgeable. They understand the queries of students and promote discussion centric classes, instead of unidirectional flow of ideas. The curriculum consists of end semester exams, at the end of each semester, so a total of 6 for 3 years. These constitute for 75% of the entire course. The rest 25% is internal examinations that are taken in the form of presentations, group discussions, class tests, etc. the difficulty of exam ranges from moderate to difficult, depending on how thorough you are with the various readings provided with each subject.
Internships Opportunities
In my course the various internship opportunities offered were under the roles of content writer, digital marketing, business development, along with some overall internships that focused on the complete development of a particular set of skills.
Placement Experience
The campus offers placements and internship opportunities through a 3 day event of internship fair organised for the 2nd and 3rd year students. The opportunities for internships are plenty however not much has been offered in terms of placements after the completion of course, in my case. After completing my degree, I am going to pursue masters in the same course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is affordable with the fees for each year ranging from 10,000-15,000. The fees depends on the courses, and fall on the higher side for computer science courses. I have not experienced a fee hike throughout the 3 years of my course. The college has a working placement cell that organizes internship fairs for students to successfully bag internships according to their potential.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted in the month of February- March. The library is sufficiently equipped with books and reading materials one might need the help of, in order to form adequate understanding of the texts in syllabus. The environment is appropriate for studying too. The classrooms are spacious and do not hinder the studying in any way. The college has various options for sports and extracurricular activities, including various clubs the students can enroll in to diversify and showcase their creative sides. The placement and Entrepreneurship cell are among the most important clubs run by students, for students.
