A short and informative tour of my university.

In my course there are 30 seats in my department. Students must be graduated from a recognised university. The must apply through online. There is a website of our University. Students can open the portal and fill up the application form. In the form they must put their willing subject or subjects and then they must put their personal details like name , parents name, address, phone number, aadhar card number and then they have to upload their graduation marksheets, hs and madhyamik marksheet, case certificate (if available), photo, signature and birth proof. Then they have to pay their application fees and click on submit. There are reservation benefits for obc-a, obchb and sc/St. There are also reserved seats for sports and handicapped people. I have issues with the time they have taken for their admission process. It is very long time to wait for students. They take a very long time(1-2 months) to publish the merit list. It is very depressing for willing students. It must be improved

I am choosing this subject because I have interest on this. Microbiology is very passionate for me and I love to do such kind of things. It means not I am a very bright student but I have potential so i go for this course. There are 5 faculty and 30 students in our department. Seniors are 22. So overall the ratio is 1:10. But there is also PhD scholars and post doctorate fellows. They are also countable. Qualification of the faculty is very high. Respected professors are mostly doctorate and some have m.tech degree also on our subject. The teaching method is good but not the best. They take audio visual classes and also projects the topic on a screen while take classes. And they are very helpfull to students. There are also a good laboratory where they take practical classes and it is also very promising. There are semester system exams, after 6 months the exams held. And it quite difficult to pass.

There are no campus interview process for any department. So there is no any companies but internships are offered by the department individually. Students can join them. And there held some workshops also. There are minor projects for students but if have some , the students make it very proper.

There are different fees structure for different subjects. In our subject (microbiology) there is 42800 rupees per year fees in masters degree. So in 2 years course total 85600 rupees. This is slightly upper side but it's also reasonable on behalf of the facilities. There are no inbuilt University scholarship for students but the students can apply the other government scholarships , state and central both. And if they are eligible marks wise and financial condition wise to get the scholarship, then the university varify their names for getting money. Then the receive their amount in their bank account directly after some time.

There are a total University annual fest held in the university campus every year. All the students meet together in the campus and make fun for 2 days. Department also conduct departmental freshers and reunion as per their ability. It is also very good. The central Library is very advanced. There are many books for studying, couse wise and entertainment based. These are easy to access. The jounels also available for students in the library from where they can make knowledge. Classroom amenities is very good. Fans , lights, are properly working and ac is also their. And the projector is also placed for the studies. Sports are rear, if students want to play they can make it self but no University interference. But extracurricular activities are there for you presented by the university. There are few clubs groups and website run by students but honestly speaking these are not very useful.
