Remarks :
The admission process was very easy because the college helps you at each and every step. The application form was provided by the college on their website and you have to fill all the details and documents in the online form(that year admissions were taking place in the online form). The application approval and all other places took nearly 3 days and then I was mailed the link to pay fees and also in between I was called twice to rectify my form in some places. The process was very quick and also very efficient.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose a BA from Mithibai because the college is very famous for its humanities studies. The student ratio is very simple that is 1:120. All the teachers are extremely qualified and they are Ph.D. level teachers extremely efficient in the subject they teach. They give timely assignments and also the classes are mostly interactive by most of the teachers. The exams are conducted at the end of each and every semester and we have two semesters in a year. We also have an ICA (a small objective test for 10 marks). The exams cannot be passed by a single day study. You will have to study for the whole semester daily.
Internships Opportunities :
The internships in college for BA are few or nearly not at all existing. The placement cell conducts training but they aren't at all fruitful because there are rarely any companies coming to Mithibai for providing internships to humanities students. The teachers help the students tho to find internships outside the colleges by referring them to any companies for work or experience-based internship
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The aided courses in the college have very low fees. The fee for BA is 9300 which was originally 7000 but increased after a hike one year ago. The fees for self-financed courses in college are very high. The college also has many scholarships but to avail them you will have to undertake a lot of paperwork and stuff
Campus Life :
The annual fest of Mithibai college is Kshitij and it takes place in December every year. The college also has fests which are conducted all-round the year by different departments or different courses. The library is well stocked and has all the new journals on the market and also a steady supply of newspapers. The classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and also ventilated with comfortable benches. The sports in Mithibai are not very developed but there is a games committee in college and they have their practice sessions. There are many clubs in college like the literature club and photography club and they also have their own social media handles and events every year
