One needs to give the JEE Mains examination to take admission in this institute. As the results of JEE Mains are declared one needs to participate in the Jossa counseling and fill the choices of various branches and colleges according to their preference. In IIT/NIT/IIIT seats are reserved for different categories as well as for girl candidates. I was confused between IIIT Sri City ECE, NIT Calicut Production, and NIT Jamshedpur PIE but after consulting various career counselors I ultimately chose NIT Jamshedpur

The curriculum in NITs is very chill when compared to other colleges. There is not a lot of academic burdens and one gets ample free time for other activities. Also, the faculty here is good. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:17 . Most of the teachers here are Ph.D. holders . Also in every semester, there is a mid-semester and an end semester examination I chose NIT Jamshedpur just because of its impressive placement record.

Internships opportunities are decent in the college. More than 70% of students get on-campus placements.. Getting internships in core branches is easier here due to the presence of industrial areas nearby. You just need to have the right skill set and CV for internships

NIT Jamshedpur is known for its fabulous placement record. Institute has reported that more than 90% of students have received placement offers as of now. This year 6 CSE students have bagged 57LPA offers from Atlassian. Also Amazon gave 44 LPA offers to 25 students this year. For the CSE branch, the average package is 19-20 LPA this year with 100% students already placed in the branch. The overall average is 12.5-13 LPA as of now. Coming to my course this year the highest package is 36 LPA this year from a startup. The placements of core branches are also excellent. Branches like Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy have an average package of about 7.5-9LPA this year. Placements were one of the main reasons for me choosing this NIT

The fee structure for Btech from NIT Jamshedpur is roughly around 8.5-9 Lakhs for four years . The fee falls down to 4-5 Lakhs for category students. The institute also provides merit scholarships to students who score well in their semester exams. Also the ROI of the institute is very good 95% students get a good job from campus placements

There are three types of fest here namely-Ojass-Tech fest, Urjaa-sports fest, and Cultfest. Also, there is a central library here with around 60000 books. The new academic building is awesome better than many NITs and IITs. You get to play all kinds of sports here from cricket to football, badminton, tennis, hockey, etc. This NIT has a great club culture with 60+ active clubs

The hostel facility of this NIT is better than most of the NITs and IITs.The mega hostels are really well ventilated and spacious with a balcony in each room.From second-year students get single sharing rooms here. The mess food is decent. So accommodation wise this NIT is good
