For getting admission in B.tech at NIT Jamshedpur you should have passed class 12 from recognized board or any other equivalent exam. Then you should have given the JEE main exam, and you should have scored enough marks in JEE main for getting admission. JEE Main exam is conducted every year , in 2021 this exam happened 4 times a year and in 2022 this will happen two times , fee of jee main exam is 650 rupees/exam. You should have crossed the threshold cutoff rank according to your cast and home state for getting admission in this college. You would see the different cutoff for you according to your cast and home state , this cutoff also changes every year. Jee main is a national level exam without any partiality so there is no improvement required as of now.

According to my jee main rank i got mechanical in NIT Jamshedpur, here it has decent placement in mechancal in core and non-core sector as well . In the entire college there are more than 3000 students and more than 150 faculties , so it has decent faculty to student ratio in terms of B.tech course. Here each and every faculty is very well qualified and having amazing subject knowledge and experience. If talked about exams , for each of the 8 semesters which is of 6 months each , you have to give 1 mid-sem exam and 1 end sem exam for each subject in that semester. If you are continuously studying the course and following the faculty members , there is no difficulty in passing.

There are enough opportunity for internship as the college is in industrial area . Students get internship nearby college ,like in TATA groups in core sector and also they get opportunities in internships in non core sector as well. You should to make some projects And attatch those in your CV while looking for internship.

As the college is nit so there are so many recruiter like 150+ recruiters visit our college , overall there is 92 percent placement and in mechanical it was 96 percentage placement for 2021 pass out batch . For CSE and ECE it was approximately 100 percentage placement. The highest placement was of the college was 57 LPA and in mechanical it was around 12 LPA. The average placement of college was around 9.42 LPA and for mechanical it was around 7.7 LPA. My plan is to get placed in a good company after completion of the course.

About the fee, like other NITs in india it's fee is almost similiar to that . Here for 1st semester you have to pay 1,16000 rupees , and then for rest of the semester you would have to pay 1,02,000. This includes tuition fee (62,000 rupee per semester) , mess fee(16000 rs per semester) , hostel fee (15,000 rs per semester) , institute fee ( 21,000 rs per year). There are many scholarship for which students apply for like ekalyan scholarship, NSP and other scholarship. Also if your family's total annual income is less than 1LPA then you would get full fee remission in tuition fee only , and if your family's annual income lies between 1LPA- 5LPA then you would get 2/3 fee remission in tuition fee only. For claiming fee remission you have to show income certificate in required format . After studying four years you would get enough opportunity for being placed as many companies of all sectors visit our college for recruitment.

There are so many annual, cultural, and tech fests happening in our college ex- OJAS . There are so many cultural and technical clubs and societies in this college like ahwahan, faces, photos, phoenix, daksh,NSS etc and many more. There is a good collection of books in the library of NIT Jamshedpur. There is a sports club also for those who are enthusiastic about sports example - the cricket club of NIT Jamshedpur.

In general, for B.tech the first-year student is given double sharing rooms, and in the 2nd year and after that students get single sharing rooms. Mess menu and food quality are decent as compared with other technical colleges. You have to stay in a college hostel for a B.tech course, and for PG students you would get a hostel if you lie in certain categories. I joined the college hostel as I am a B.tech student.
