Remarks

The admission process was registering online on the official site of the University of Delhi. The cut-offs are out for all the colleges as per your applied courses. If you clear the cut off you have to take admission by visiting the college. For my course the cut off was 85% for the general category, adding marks of PCM.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is quite similar to chemistry honours and is basically about the applications and preparation of chemicals in the industries with minimum hazards and using green methods. The faculty members are well experienced and supportive. The exams are held on a semester basis. The difficulty level is moderate for the semester exams. Teachers make you understand everything and you can contact them apart from any issues or doubt regarding studies.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies visit the college and you can get the daily details about it if you are interested in it. Companies like Metvy, Kalpguru etc have visited for internships and they also provide a stipend and pre-placement offers to the students. The training, workshops and webinars are organised to make the process clear to the students and avail the opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

The placement is provided to the final year students but the internship and pre-placement offers can be availed by students in any semester. Companies like NatWest, Asian Paints Ltd, De Shaw, Xceedance, KalpGuru, TopHire, Admitkard etc. visited the college and students got placed. Many students planned to pursue higher studies after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees can be paid online on an annual basis. It is about 25000 a year for science courses. The financial assistance is provided to some students. The examination fee needs to be paid differently while filling the examination form. The course is good and you can get job and internship opportunities from the college. Some companies also provide stipend in the internships.

Campus Life

4.5

SABRANG is the annual fest of Deshbandhu College. Many popular singers and celebrities are invited. Some of them are Neha Kakkar, Akhil, Darshan Raval, Shaan, Gautam Gambhir etc. It is held in the month of March most probably in the first week. Many societies are there in the college like NSS, NCC, Music, Art, Drama, Sports etc. The placement and entrepreneurship cell is also there in the college which is quite active.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

Campus placements are for commerce background mostly, usually in 3rd year you might see some placements. I don't know exactly about thr company who visited because I wasn't enrolled in that particular course. Campus placements percentage is very low to be honest . 10-20% mostly. I'll pursue masters.
