Remarks

The admission process was hustle-free and smooth, my one based on my WBJEE score. The application form, application fees, application dates were all informed by the college. Overall it was very good and easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering because of my interest in the Electronics segment. The faculty: student ratio is good and suitable. The faculties are highly qualified with in-depth knowledge in their respective fields.

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 95000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are internship opportunities available in the second and third years. For it, we have to start preparing from the first year itself and make various projects. The roles of the internships depends upon the student and the branch selected.

Placement Experience

As per I know, 3rd-year students become eligible for the campus placements. Various companies visits such as the Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Cognizant, Persistent Systems. The highest package is about 8 to 10 lpa and the average is about 4 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is affordable. There are various scholarships available such as the Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM) , the student credit card loan. Overall everything is good in this regard.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is superb considering the natural and peaceful environment there. There are various books in the library available. There are also social groups, clubs, and websites such as the Prayukti, Abohoman, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The Hostel facilities are good. The charges are 12000 per 6 months for the hostel and 3000 per month for the mess. The meal quality and menu are good and the registration process is easy. The hostel fees are overall affordable.

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
