Remarks

IIIT Kottayam is one of the most established IIIT in India. It ranks well in terms of placement courses cut off and fees structure. The JW advanced cut-off for computer science and Engineering it is gender-neutral which is 14703 as the opening rank and 28079 as the closing rank. For application comedy, students need to visit the official website and apply for the admission by filling the required details.

Course Curriculum Overview

The computer science course curriculum involves both the studies of computer science and the elective courses which include electronics mathematical electives science electives humanities elective and management electives. The main curriculum involves modules like programming data restructuring, algorithms, website development, etc. The professors are extremely cooperative and teach everything in interesting manner. The teacher student ratio stands at 8:1

The placement companies at IIIT Kottayam include companies like bosch, TCS, jio, informatics, Wipro, Nissan, UST global, suntech, IBS, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, Ericsson. Highest package offered was the CTC of 36 lacs per annum and the average package offered was the CTC of 9.07 lacs per annum. The individual placements were 44 197 offers were made. 88 percentage of the students were placed while rest went for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

IIIT Kottayam does not offer any scholarship full stop however the students can approach the bank for an education loan and the institute will issue the needed documents after a student submits a return receipt for the request. IIIT Kottayam stands included for the SBI scholar scheme of the State Bank of India. However since I wasn't eligible for the scholarship for a loan, I went for external scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus and student life have a lot of relaxation and pursuing hobbies for the students. The facilities include hostel, security, gymnasium sports, library, Bank, medical centre, etc. There are various clubs and events for students like the cultural club technical club sports club. We scored a championship in the Girls Tennis for two consecutive years.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.

My College days

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

no placements but good to explore your interests
