Remarks

I have given jee mains and advanced and I have qualified them with 98.75 percentile in jee mains and secured 10141 rank in jee advanced. IIT kgp provides great placement opportunities to students and it has a decent infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

Talking about my course which is agricultural and field engineering, it is something different from ongoing popular courses right now. It includes studies regarding the concepts of agricultural activities and machine learning.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many internship opportunities in the campus. We have several options and we can go for one we like also students applied and they have to pass their basic test. Big companies like Microsoft, Samsung, come and offer the opportunities.

Placement Experience

I don't know about these things. I am just a first-year undergraduate. As I have heard it's decent. I have not placed anywhere placements started from third year and fourth year. All I can say is that it is descent. The highest package in 2021 is 2.2 crore and the average package is 14.9 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think the fee is too high for middle-class people. It is not affordable at all.it is too high for students like me. Talking about opportunities provides the opportunities. Scholarships are available there but only on tuition fees not on the hostel fees.

Campus Life

There is no life at the campus for me because I have not been on campus due to lockdown so I can't say about that. As I know there is huge library at the campus which will be useful for me in future. Eaa is good but online.

Hostel Facilities

I don't know anything about that because I have not tested it. The hostel is allotted by the campus itself. So there is no involvement of us. Other things I don't know about because I have not been there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

Clg Review

Since I was interested in getting into an IIT from class 11, and IIT KGP was the only college that gave the best branch to college ratio among all other IITs that I was eligible for based off my rank. The admission process for my college for B.TECH involves JOSAA, a counselling system for all government engineering colleges in India where the eligibility criteria is based off JEE ADVANCED rank. Since you can only select one college through JOSAA, the only one i selected was this as this was the only one I was alotted based off my rank. The cutoff for my college is around 12000 for General Male and 20000 for General Female. This increases for other categories like SC ST OBC etc....Read More
