Remarks

I got a reservation and got my branch at 2k lower rank .all students with PCM are eligible for admission and also have to qualify to jee mains rank. admission is done through jossa counseling and is good and there is also a csab special round for left seats in jossa

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are very good but are avg no proper facilities for research and labs classes are timely. Girls are also low in this branch exams are timely but teachers teach well and exam marking is too tight.

Internships Opportunities

Good companies come and go in the college for placements it occurs at the end of 3rd year it's tough but if studied seriously we can bang a good internship on campus which would increase the chance of placement

I am there for string reasons good for students good average package so am going to do a job with 12 lac above package we love the jobs so we come to nitjsr and so I am going to get placed in a good company with a decent salary

Fees and Financial Aid

I have got a special scholarship for students with family income less than 5 lac and so I can't avail any other scholarship it provides 2/3 scholarship only in tuition fees and so I have to pay 36 k and is good for financially weak students

Campus Life

college life I haven't experienced but there are many clubs for drama fun quizzes cars solar cars etc which surely make life enjoyable at nit Jamshed pur so it good to be there. I strongly suggest being in one of them

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are new and we'll maintain but there is an issue of LAN cable not working in 80 percent of the rooms else college life, especially for hostels is good I strongly suggest theega hostels that are enormous and are for 3rd year and 2nd-year students

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
