Remarks
To get admission in B.Sc(H) Chemistry in Delhi University, you should have Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in your +2. The admission form is found on Delhi University's website every June/July. The one change I would like to see is admission based on the entrance exam and not on the base of cut-offs because they can be sometimes misleading.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of B.Sc(H) Chemistry of Delhi University is very well-designed in terms of practicality and use, we have a lot of practical classes and get to know a lot about Chemistry in our everyday life. The professor: student ratio is good for my class atleast. The faculty of DU is great and their teaching methods are also good. The semester exams take place after every five months. The difficulty level of exams has gone down since the introduction of the OBE mode of exam.
Internships Opportunities
The internship cell of the college is very active. It provides students with various internships and also organizes webinars for college alumni so that students get to understand the corporate world.
Placement Experience
The placement rate for students of practical courses like B.Sc(H) Computer Science, BMS and B.Com(H) and B.Sc(H) Electronics. The third-year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, Deloitte, and Adobe come for placements. My plan after completing B.Sc(H) Chemistry is B.Ed. I want to pursue teaching after that.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are low for B.Sc(H) Chemistry as compared to other colleges(mainly private colleges). Scholarships are provided for students who are academically sound and also for students who are financially weak.
Campus Life
Due to the COVID pandemic, the college has remained shut since I have taken admission, so no fests have taken place since I have taken admission. The college library has almost all the books you need for your course. The classrooms are beautiful, air conditioners are placed in every classroom. There are few societies like KALAMKAAR and POLAROID. The only down-point of the campus is that there is not a proper playground, which gives it a feeling of an engineering college.
