Remarks

To take admission to Jadavpur University one has to give WBJEE exam and secure a rank within the top 2000 out of 1 lakh students One can apply for the WBJEE examination through their official website. I did not avail and reservation. One problem in the admission process is that it happens a little late, like in the month of August. If it happens a little earlier one can plan accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I took this course because it was a circuit branch. Being a circuit branch we are eligible to sit for most of the tech placements. The student-to-teacher ratio is 45:1. The faculty is highly knowledgeable and is always ready to help The qualification of the faculty is top-notch. The professor is experienced and has field knowledge. They are ready to guide anyone. They also have connections with professors abroad which can help us to secure admission for higher education abroad. The term exam is not that difficult can one can secure 8 pointers by just studying a week before.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunity is available to students from the start of the third year. This year Amazon, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, etc came to our university to offer internship opportunities this year. Stipends are quite good like around 50K per month. Although internship opportunities are limited and not everyone is able to bag an internship I sat for the Samsung R&D internship exam and managed to clear up the interview rounds. However, all students in the third year later have to work under a professor and complete a mini project in a particular domain. This year my project is about how Boiler pressure affects efficiency. I have around 3 months to complete this project

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are one of the strong fields in our college. After completing third-year students are allowed to sit for placements. Over 200 companies come every year. To name a few like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, etc. In core sector Tata Power, CESC comes. The highest package this year is over 50 lakh. The average placement for this year is around 10 lacs for our department. In our department, over 95% of students get placed on campus.. Currently, my plan is to secure a good job and continue to work for a few years after getting my degree. Later I may pursue MBA or go for MS.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for 4 years is 11000 only. It is highly affordable and one of the best options available. There is no fee hike. For hostels monthly rent is 100 rupes only The college does provide scholarships to students from finically backward classes. However, there is no Job on campus available.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many fests conducted throughout the year. Every year there is an annual fest conducted by the engineering department. The library is fully equipped and a vast array of books and journals are available. Being a government-run college the amenities in the classroom is quite basic. However, it provides all basic amenities like chairs, desks, boards, etc. There are 2 fields available on the Jadavpur campus. One is the main campus field which can be used anytime by the students. Another field is used by BCCI for cricket teams training. If you are lucky you may even see some famous faces.

Other Applied Colleges

KIIT | BTech in Computer Science

Because it was a private collage and the fees were very high

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I'm in first year so I don't got into my specialization that much , but from my knowledge we are getting knowledge about all domain in a portion which will help us in our future . This also helps us to decide that specifically which domain is best for us . Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.
