Remarks

The course is eligible for people who completed their secondary higher education. There is an exam to get into the college. The exam syllabus is the same as the CET exam and JEE MAIN. In addition to Math, Physics, Chemistry, a few questions are asked in English Grammar. All the questions are MCQs and there is no negative marking. Online Applications when opened will be notified to students through ads. Results will be announced after 20-30 days after the exam. More than 1200 students get admission into college from both CET and PESSAT exams. You get to choose a course according to the ranks obtained.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose Computer Science as I was interested. After enquiring people who chose computer science also gave a good review about the course in the college. The reason to take up computer science is there are many chances and opportunities to get into the tech and software industries. The ratio to male and female for a class would be around 25:55. This would be the same for any branch or might be lesser. The faculty is also good. Most of the teachers are highly qualified with good teaching experience, also many hold Ph.D. degrees. Exams are sometimes difficult

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Right now I am trying to attempt placement exams offered by the college. Many companies like Dell, Walmart. Goldmann Sachs, etc have come to college and conducted exams. On qualifying for the exam, an interview will be conducted. From that interview they hire students. Many people start getting placed from 3RD year. Projects depend on the complexity it has done. What technologies are used, how the team presented, how efficiently it has been learned, how people have presented it. All these have to be good in order to have a good project with you

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are pretty good in the college. Students can get internships on their own by their knowledge and skills. College starts allowing students from the 3rd year to write placement exams and can get placed from these exams. Stipends vary from company to company. Most of the students end up getting into companies with decent packages. Most of the people get placed by the 7th semester doing their internship for 3-6 months. And some of them choose to go for higher studies. The college provides coaching for some of the exams related to higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 3,20,00 for the 2019 batch. Every year 10,000 is increased in the annual fee for those who join through the PESSAT exam. The college annual fee for people who join through the KCET exam is around 1,00,000, and there is no change in this I guess because it is the government's decision to change the fee. Many scholarships are given to students based on their academics. some scholarships are given based on special criteria like income and other reservations.

Campus Life

4

There will be an annual fest. and many tech fests will be conducted across the year. Fests are usually interesting as it gives an environment interacting with everyone other than class hours. The classrooms are big. Labs are provided on the campus but are less in number. The library has many books which are very useful for academics and as well as research. Sports tournaments are also conducted. Many clubs are there in the college and most of them are run by the students, guided by some faculty. But students are fully responsible for the clubs. College funds them.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college provides hostel facilities. The hostel for boys is on campus. Whereas for girls the hostel is outside the campus. Bus facility is provided to people who are out of the campus to reach the college. Food is good in the college canteens compared to the food in the hostel. The rooms are good. The annual fee is 1,00,000. And it may vary depending on the hostel chosen. Rooms will be allotted by the hostel management. You can choose the type of room and pay accordingly.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
