Course Curriculum Overview

4

1) I chose B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics because I wanted to study something interesting, invigorating, and challenging. Also, I wanted to improve my problem-solving and reasoning skills. According to me, it provides someone the opportunity to deal with real-world problems. 2) For a particular semester, the faculty-student ratio is 1:7. The faculty members of all the departments are highly qualified and well-trained. They are very much understanding, supportive and helpful in nature. All the faculties are scholars with Ph.D. from top Universities in India. 3) The exams are held at the end of each semester every year. As when I got admission to DU, the classes are held in online mode and so are the exams. They were taken in OBE mode. Total 4 hours are given for each paper. The time pattern is divided in the manner of 3+1 hours, i.e. 3 hours for writing and 1 hour for downloading paper and uploading of answer sheets.

Internships Opportunities

4

A lot many companies and organizations hire students as an intern for various roles such as Research Associate, Sales and Marketing, HR, Content Writing, Marketing, Graphic Designer, Digital Marketing, Web-Development, Blogging, etc. Some internships are unpaid with a certificate and LOR as well some are paid with stipends ranging from INR 5,000 to INR 12,000. These internships help students to enhance their skills.

Placement Experience

4

Only the students who completed 5 semesters are eligible for the Campus Placements. Private Companies come to take interviews for the jobs. Interviews in the form of Group Discussions or personal interviews take place. There is a placement cell of the college named Prospicio that aims at providing students with training and professional opportunities during their academic year. The recruiters include- Ernst and Young, Google, IACT Global, Protivity, Oberoi Group of Hotels, Zomato, Rio Tinto, and IBN7. Students are placed in some companies like Wipro and Tresvista, etc. The average salary package for the year seems to be approximately INR 3,50,000 for all profiles, with the highest pay being offered by Tresvista of 6 Lakh.

Fees and Financial Aid

1) As Kamala Nehru College is a government college, the fee is not very much high as compared to other private colleges. It is very affordable. The fee structure of all the courses varies between Rs. 9k-13k per year except for B.A. (Hons.) Journalism i.e., Rs. 18,700 per year. Also, there is some fee concession for students who can avail of this by fulfilling the required criteria. 2) Some scholarships such as Rita Seth Memorial Scholarship and Araine Jain Scholarship for economically challenged and deserving candidates are given by the college authority. Also, Usha Aggarwal Tejaswini Scholarship and Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarships are provided to the scholars of the college who fulfills the required criteria.

The College has several societies that work to instill value-awareness and a sense of social responsibility and community orientation. 2) In this college there is equal importance to extracurricular activities so the students are able to shine both in studies and they're extracurricular. There is no extra curriculum activities in my college which I disliked about my colleges and they don't even organise a normal events for students , teacher can be more supportive and teachers can be provide lots of information. They did not provide anything in any information about teachers, teachers. Teachers can be more better. The facilities can be more explain more more and more. They don't take things seriously they just they just provide their notes through online classes and ask them without clearing sections are not not up to the mark and things are not good in the college.
