Remarks

You should be 12th passed and appeared for JEE MAIN exam in the year of admission. This college admits students through JAC CHANDIGARH. You can go to JAC CHANDIGARH official site and fill the form. The application fee is 2500. Registration dates will be notified on the site.

Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams were held timely and the date sheet of the exam was given two weeks prior to the exam. The exam is set by Panjab University Chandigarh as that is the main branch of this college. The difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not much or maybe not even single on campus internships. You will have to search off campus internships. Just one project but a unique one will get u an internship (it's applicable for cs/it ).

Placement Experience

6 sem students are eligible for placement. Companies like Wipro, IBM, TCS, Infosys HP visit college. The highest on-campus CTC was 14 lakh last year and the average CTC for cse/it is 6 lakh. In cs/it 90% of students get placed but for ece and mech. It's quite low. I will go for off campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a fee hike of one thousand rupees per year which is justified. The total cost for studying in college will be 340000 + 240000(hostel + mess charge). Students admitted under ews will get a 100% fee waiver ( ews means less than 2.5 lakh income).

Campus Life

Fests like goonj and anant(techno-cultural fest) are held every year. The library is not very big but is full of resources. All types of labs are there with well equipped facilities. Sports is good. There are many techs, debate, singing, dancing clubs.

Hostel Facilities

Every room in the hostel has two beds accompanied by a balcony. The rooms are spacious. The bathroom and toilet are common for 4 rooms. Food quality is great unexpectedly. The hostel is affordable. Hostel accommodation is done by online registration on the college website. Pg is also a good option as the hostel rooms are fewer.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
