Remarks

It is perfect for a career in basic sciences and research. Give exposure to fundamentals research. It is an institute of national importance and comes under direct central government and MHRD and friends and parents advice were the factors in choosing the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is at par with the international institutes and teachers also taught in the same way. With chalk boards there are projectors in the class to show animations, experiments and videos of various research projectsa nd topics. Faculties are very friendly.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college is justifying the cause of its set up as many of the students are going abroad and also into top class Indian institutes for carrying out their Ph. D. The placement cell here isn't very active, however recent efforts are being made to bring companies to the college. All students carry out an internship in their summers i. e, May-July. And if the student is getting the scholarship, the funding agency bears the travel and lodging expenses.

College Events

5

There are a lot of curricular activities that happen on campus, as there are many active clubs, such as IQMC, Drama, PNV, Currie, Bio discussion club and much more. Inter IISER Sports Meet and Inter IISER Cultural Meet is organized as a competition between IISERs, IISc and NISERs

Fees and Financial Aid

I am having DBT-sponsored INSPIRE scholarship for being among top 1 percent in school boards. There are various other scholarships like KVPY and various other state level scholarships.

Campus Life

Highly world-class infrastructure, I mean in my campus the library is of an 8-floor building with a lot of books and luxury. There are almost all the facilities that are provided in IISER Mohali, as it is a residential campus. The hostel life is really good and one can easily spend five years there. Moreover, Chandigarh, Himachal, etc. Are the nearby cities really good for travelling etc.

Hostel Facilities

It is mandatory for the students to live in hostels. It is mandatory for the students to live in hostels. Cleaning staffs clean the corridors and toilets regularly and rooms are also cleaned occasionally.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.
