Remarks

My parents played an important role in choosing this college because my father is a teacher and he gives preference to research and also I was also interested in theoretical physics from my metric education and the tag of IISER on you is most important for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

I liked the course curriculum of IISER Mohali. You have to study all subjects for 2 years and after it you can select your major because many student's think from their class 12th he/she likes particular subject and going to choose major in the major year but I have seen many choose their subject after 2 years of studying all subjects so this is good that all students have to study all subjects for 2 years.

Placement Experience

3.5

There is an entrepreneur club in our college which is in it's starting phase and it's need some time to establish. Soon we will see companies approaching to our college to hire students but the main motive of our college is not to provide placements after their degree it's main motive is to promote research.

College Events

5

There are nearly 19 clubs in our college which celebrate every festival as the students of our college include from all over the India and some foreign students as well. There is lot of enjoyment and you never feel bored in the college which is the best thing you will find in IISER Mohali.

Campus Life

Infrastructure include two Administrative Block which have labs. Each scientist have their own separate labs. One is teaching block where our classes run. One is animal facility etc. There are separate stadiums for each sport. Labs are equipped with high technology instruments.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is compulsory for all. First two year students get shared room and after that each student get separate room. There are total 4 hostels. No separate hostels for boys and girls both are together.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

I have opted for this course because I want to know about the drugs that how they are manufactured and how they work. Faculty members are good and strict also they provide the student's knowledge and help them in every they can do. Some of the teachers have done the masters and some have done PhD. There are three mid-semester examinations are taken in a year.
