Remarks

Great academic and faculty records, good laba, Ragging free campus, no politics, good placement records, easy location. Had heard from seniors about great teaching and atmosphere along with great placement records over the years and good soft skill training and interview preparations for top MNCs.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus was at per with university guidelines. The teachers were good. To name few Arunava sir was great to make us understand chemistry really easily, Nivedita Gupta mam is an excellent faculty of Basic Science Humanities group who helped us improve our communication skills which proved to be helpful in campus interviews. SB sir taught us electronics great.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 320000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements in general are really good. But unfortunately in our year the placements were a bit low because the overall market was down. Generally wipro and CTS are the patent companies that visit our campus and provide on Campus recruitment every year. Apart from that several sales edutech and core companies also visited. But more that on campus, pool campussing at other locations were performed during my year of placement. But ultimately lots of opportunity and trainings were provided to help land a job even at a bad market.

College Events

Explorica is a great technical club which organizes robotics workshops, yantra and Phoenix the cultural fest of our college FIEM. Culrav is the official cultural club of FIEM which organises the cultural fest and recently started film club produces great short films.

Campus Life

Labs are well equipped with all modern equipments, the ground is little small and made of cement turf and is a shared ground with Future campus school and library has recently been modified to a good corporate look. We were provided books for the entire semester and the library book record system is totally computerized. We did not have to buy books separately we could borrow from library. The campus was clean. Only cons is that the lift was meant only to be used by faculties. But special permission was provided to allow students to use based on requirement such as injury or so.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
