Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is quite good with more industry demanding courses and subjects. But currently the most important technologies like cloud and all is not there in deeper level. Difficulty level of exams are average Academic syllabus is not upto the mark but practical classes will give you extra benefit.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 384000 per year

Placement Experience

In on campus 3 to 4 companies came like Accenture, Cognizant, Capsitech and some startups. So many pooled campus companies were visited at that time. Average package offered was 4LPA. Minimum 60% in 10th and 12th is required to be eligible in the placement drive in most of the companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no yearly fees paying method. You have to pay semester wise fees. It gradually increases from 42k to 46k in each year from 1st year to 4th year. If you applied for any scholarship like SVMCM then you will get 60k/year. At the time of admission you will have to pay 70k+. Now the fees increased and probably it is now 450000 in total 4 years.

Campus Life

Annually there was 4 different festivals from 4 different clubs like film club , tech club , cultural club . Also there was a extra sports club and a special event for them also. Range of books in library is good and ambiance is really impressive.

Admission

This college I chose for better placement record at that point of time when I went for admission. Admission process is just like other college with a good valid WBJEE or JEE rank and then applied through their portal and then seat allocation and fees payment.

Faculty

1. faculty-to-student ratio is quite good in CSE department. Professors often helps students for different career perspectives. 2. Each one of them was really incredible. 3. In each semester there was 4 written Internal exams including ppt presentation, assignment writing, written exam and online MCQ test. Almost every student got passing marks and at the same time exam cell was very strict.

Night Life

Nightlife is moderate level in college campus. There was no hangout places nearby outside the campus. Also inside the campus except the basketball ground there was nowhere to hangout. Locality is good there.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
