Remarks

I have applied for Gargi College in the year 2017 and completed my graduation in 2020. I have opted bachelors in life sciences. admission to the undergraduate course is merit-based (that is based on marks scored in the class 12th examination of any Board/University examination India or in any foreign recognized as equivalent to 10 + 2 system by the association of Indian University(AIU). the applicant should have passed individually in each subject required for calculating merit and eligibility to the course they seek admission in. applicants with compartment results are not eligible to apply. applicants with gap year(s) will not be at any disadvantage for the purpose of admission to undergraduate courses. there is no minimum age for admission to undergraduate courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose life sciences because I have a keen interest in both zoology and botany and life sciences give the opportunity to let us learn both subjects together. the faculty in Gargi college is quite nice though some teachers are quite rude too the rest of the faculty and staff is very polite and helpful. all the teachers in Gargi College are highly qualified and they are a very amazing way to teach. They will teach you in every way possible to make you understand the topic but you do have to be very attentive during the teaching time. exams are quite easy and you can easily clear them by studying just two or three days before exams and by practicing previous year question papers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for life sciences will be in the range of 10k-12k. I don't have any knowledge about the scholarship part, to be honest. It's almost 2 years since I have been graduated, there's definitely some hike in the fees but when you see the ambiance of Gargi college all of it is worth it. They have got this beautiful botanical garden on the college campus there are rabbits too. during my time I haven't applied for any job form the campus cause I have some other future plans to prepare for govt job.

Campus Life

4.5

There are various, like a lot of fest namely zistatva, reverie, Diwali fest and a lot more. Gargi college used to have a lot of crowds during the fest. Honestly, fests in Gargi college are the best fests I have ever attended. college classrooms have WiFi and the furniture is also well maintained. Gargi college also has a lot of societies, some of them are drama society, art society (hues), dance society, tech society, and life sciences society is also known by the name of zenith.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for the Bachelor of Science General is decent but surely needs to be improved in terms of including relevant technological developments. The course can include more practical activities, majorly inside the laboratory for a better understanding of complex science concepts. The frequency of exams are comfortable and give ample time to students to prepare for their exams. Exam diffculty range between moderate to difficult, and easy at times.

For statistics IT companies like Dell, Wirpo and others have job offers and roles. 4-5 lakhs is what we were offered and get easily too. For a student getting graduated in just 60k, getting 10x of it as initial placement, nothing more can be asked for.

Honestly I know Zoology course placements aren't much. It's a research based course and therefore if we are hired by some researchers we might get a job worth 30-40k in hand. However, for other courses the placements at our college are great.
