Remarks

JEE main is eligibility and you have to apply through jac Chandigarh website since I got admission during covid so all the process was online and quite smooth I was from the general category so I don't know about reservation benefits.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good and apt. The faculty members of my branch are really good and lenient as compared to other branches. A lot of members are alumni of this college itself. Term exams were timely but the datasheet and other details are provided at the last moment. Since we have had online exams only so it was very easy to score high marks.

Internships Opportunities

I have not done an internship yet from college but I did one on my own without any stipend. We had a summer training project after 2nd sem and that was very unprofessional. The teacher assigned for the summer training asked us to make a project on our own on any topic of our choice and if any support is needed contact me.

Placement Experience

I don't know much about placements but I will try my very best to answer this question. The students are eligible for placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Last year the highest package was of approx 30 lakhs per annum but that was off-campus on amazon. On-campus average placement is 6-7 LPA for it. I personally am preparing for UPSC so I'm not that interested in the placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

At first, I felt the fees are low but since I was comparing it to private colleges like Thapar and cu chitkara etc the fees of Thapar are approximately 3.5x as compared to this but it's still worth it. Whereas UIET charging such fees is not at all provide even basic infra amenities. Hostel fees are very moderate and anything about internship opportunities.

Campus Life

I don't think I am capable of answering these questions but I will try my best to answer according to whatever I've heard from seniors. Since it's a university the campus life is very good and diversified. The fests for pu are different and for uiet the cultural fest is GOONJ. PU has also won many awards in sports. There are alot of clubs in the college.

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
