Remarks

To be eligible for the course, one has to pass 12th and JEE main with the rank good enough to make through cut off list. Counseling is done through JAC Chandigarh and all the information and forms including the application form, fees details and important dates are available at the JAC Chandigarh portal. I availed BC reservation (Backward Caste), to avail this reservation I used my current OBC-NCL certificate. Admission process is very smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Information Technology because I have interest in programming. Tech is my forte so I wanted to make a career in this field. Also IT/CSE has the highest placement records in our college. I our college student to teacher ratio as far as I have experienced is very good. We have different faculty for different subjects. Faculty in our college are highly qualified, most of them have a PhD degree and few are pursuing PhD. Exams are conducted very timely. We have 2 minor exams in every semester and one end semester exam. In Minor and end semester I would say difficulty level varies from medium to tough.

Internships Opportunities

In our College UIET(University Institute of Engineering and Technology), Chandigarh, we get internship in 7 Semester. These internships are very good and almost all the students of CSE/IT gets it. These internships are with reputed companies and also helps during placements

Placement Experience

In CSE/IT branch most of the students like 95%+ students get placed. Students here are eligible for placement right after the 7th sem. Companies like Amazon, ZS, etc are a few companies which hire from our college. In Information technology average package is about 7 LPA and highest being 40 LPA. These average/highest package vary for branches. Overall average package is around 6 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college, fees are very less as compared to other colleges, especially private colleges. Here our annual fees are around 95000. Scholarship in our college is given to the students on a merit basis.

Campus Life

4.5

College Life is one of the most remarkable and lovable times of an individual's life. Unlike School Life, College Life has a different experience, and a person needs to have this experience in his/her life. UIET college life is worth the experience. AC Joshi library on our campus is one the biggest here. Here we have multiple clubs for different activities like dance, Coding, debate, etc. Our main fest is called Goonj.

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

my college: pros and cons

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
