Remarks

Through JEE Mains, Got 40k Rank and then i applied to JAC Chandigarh councelling and got my seat in the spot round. I would like to see some improvement in the schedules of these counseling as some national counselings clash and students suffer problems.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I always wanted to opt for the tech field and this college was the best option for me at that time. The faculties are quite good and decent. Exams are like 3 times in a semester, excluding that we have quizzes and viva too.

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 99000 per year

Internships Opportunities

You'll only get to know about Internships if you have a circle or club or have good communication between seniors, since there are no Internships that will be announced in class by teachers . you need to be active with people.

Placement Experience

Honestly, packages of CSE and IT branch are quite fine i would say ( as I've heard from seniors and researches) and these two branches have a high placement percentage AS COMPARED to other branches but at last it's upto students how well they can land themselves into.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is approximately around 1 lakh rupees excluding hostel and examination fees. I didn't see any hike till yet ( it's my 2nd year of college). I find fees quite acceptable as the college comes under PU and is a government college.

Campus Life

Well honestly , due to covid and the situation , i haven't been to campus yet , classes are online from starting. But yeah there are many clubs , you can join if some interests you and be a part of a community.

The curriculum is mostly based on theoretical aspects as the course itself is bachelor of engineering there can be more practical aspects but the overall difficulty level is medium i would say and these are durable

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
