Remarks

12th pass with science stream with minimum 88 percent. Delhi University official site du.ac.in. The application fee is 250 and the application date is mentioned there which is generally June or July. Reservation Benefits: Lower percentage of class 12th is needed in the case of OBC, SC, ST. The admission process is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview

Mathematics is a good course for the future and I was interested as well. Maths faculty were excellent. They were very helpful and give attention to students individually. There were 40 students of which 15 were girls and the rest were boys. All faculties were Ph.D. holder and their teaching methods were very practical. Exams were there every 6th month and daily study of 4 hours can get you through all the exams happily.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 42000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships were there from many companies such as Wipro, Intel, etc with a stipend of around 10 to 14 thousand. In my course, jobs were of types like data analysis, data manipulation, data computer, etc. These internships are very useful from a future perspective.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were there every year for three which was usually 14000 rupees and there was no fees hike policy. Scholarships were there for students who were from poor financial backgrounds and also for those who were first, second, third rank holders of the respective courses. I got one internship whose stipend was 12000 rupees.

Campus Life

Navrang, Spectrum were usually conducted in the month of December. The library was full of resources, reference books, journals, newspapers, etc. One needs to have a library card to access these resources.

A college review full of pros and cons

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

The Life of A DRC student

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

i think it's very outdated and not of any practical use unless you go for research and scientific fields of science. it does not prepare much for the real world and current market but teaches about biology and chemistry which helps sometimes. the frequency if exam is fine.

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.

St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college.
