Remarks

I gave an entrance exam through DUET(Delhi University entrance exam) and passed that exam with 191 ranks out of 10k students. The eligibility of the course is 60% marks in class 12th in any stream and the entrance exam that you give. The application form is there on the site of Delhi University. There are reservations for obc/sc/st and EWS students. The admission process is quite smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a 4 year course wherein there are theory and practicum papers and the 4th year if the course is dedicated to an internship where the students go to schools and teach there. The exams are held yearly and the faculty is quite good and very humble.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 16000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internships are provided by many companies like younity, bookmypg, graviens, etc. The stipend varies accordingly with respect to the job profile and the company. Some of the internships are unpaid but every internship provides a certificate of completion and a Letter of recommendation to good performers.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of the college is very active even throughout the pandemic it has provided us with work from home internships. The placement offers internships in various fields and each and every student is quite satisfied with the working of the placement cell.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 16k per year which is not very much and there are scholarship tests for students to avail. The campus has there owned placement cell as well as the department of b.el.ed also works for their students to get better placements.

Campus Life

Gargi College has the best of fests wherein the students get to see departmental as well as College fests. The Diwali fest is called Zistatva and the annual fest is called reverie which is one of the best fest in the whole of DU. There are many societies for dance, singing, debate, etc and every student is free to join them and learn throughout the year. the library is very huge and is provided with alot of books and magazines as well a reading room for the students to sit and read peacefully.

Poor infrastructure, average faculty and not-so-happening campus life

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

Gargi College defines greatness!

CUET is the best thing that has happened as otherwise when it was on percentage basis our college cut-offs were 96 percent minimum. Luckily now the benchmark is set on 90 and rest all on CUET score. Gari College has given endless memories!!

I obviously like every girl in India wanted LSR but 790 was the cut-off for LSR and for Gargi it was 772. I missed my mark by 6 numbers or percentile or else I would have been reviewing LSR currently. Gargi College has good faculties!!

Admissions process of DU is good till CUET, the counselling round are actually quite hectic as within minutes we have to decide and lock the college. Gargi College is Gorgeous!!

In January the forms for CUET are out and we all have to fill them, whoever wants admission in DU. It's really sad that cut-off for reserved students is 610-620 while for general category students like me has to score in access of 765 to get admission for any courses in Gargi.
