Remarks
I applied for Zakir Husain Delhi College which comes under Delhi University (Central University). I got admission when the minimum required marks were around 87% which includes marks of following subjects 1) Mathematics/ Biology 2) Physics 3) Chemistry The admission process was quite smooth few students faced the fee submission problem but got resolved easily. Sometimes nodal officers reply quickly and will resolve your query but generally, they take a long time to respond. Counselling day was great Chemistry won't faculty is quite good and they all are really helpful and sweet.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose chemistry Hons for UG because I have a keen interest in this particular subject and this college provides the best faculty members for Chemistry. We have 6 teachers for 3 subjects (Organic, Physical, Inorganic) which makes 2 teachers for every subject and the strength of the class is a maximum of 65 students. Faculty of Chemistry Hons course is highly qualified to provide the best and adequate knowledge about the topic. Teachers are really helpful and sweet they provide all the study materials online. Exams were held according to the guidelines issued by Delhi University only and the difficulty level was moderate.
Placement Experience
Campus placement is a rare thing in this college, especially in my course. Since many other DU colleges provide placement but this college fails to provide so. Few other courses have a little bit glimpse of placement. But you can always do something else after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Because this college comes under central university so the fees are quite low. Our course fees are around 13000 annually. College won't provide any kind of scholarships as the fees are already less than any other institution.
Campus Life
Communicate is our chemistry department society and they held a programme. It was quite interesting although it was held in one mode. This college provides various societies and clubs to take part in like theatre, photography, musical, debating etc. But there is a lack of sports facilities in this college. All the clubs are run by students only making 3rd-year students as president and 1st year as volunteers.
