Remarks

NIT Calicut has NIRF ranking of 23. Also it's atmosphere is very greenish and natural friendly. Also the campus is very near to my home. If you guys are willing to come the campus, I request you to start preparing for JEE main and score good enough to enter the beautiful campus.

I choose Production Engineering because since I wish to take MBA, B tech in Production Engineering will help me a lot. My faculties all are very friendly and highly educated. The teach very well. And if we study what they teach regularly, it's easy to pass all the exams and earn a good CGPA.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 512000 per year

Placement Experience

Many core companies are approaching our campus every year. Most of them are IT companies. They conduct interview and hire students. We have seperate placement cell and councillors in our campus. Our facilities and trainers will make us perfectly ready for the interview.

Campus Life

There many interesting clubs and NSS programs in my campus. Tathva is our technical fest which is very famous in the southern region of India. Also Ragam cultural festival is the one of the best among Asian fest which will held at our campus every year. There is centralised Library with more than 5000 books.

Admission

Inorder to get admission in the college for the B.tech course, one should attend and score good in JEE main. Or he/she is willing to join college for M.Tech course, he/she must attend and score enough in GATE.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
