Remarks

All the admission-related process was smooth, Classes are also being taken nicely so far, although completely in online mode due to the govt. restrictions but still the learning experience is good.AOT is a decent technology college to study engineering in east India as far as I'm experiencing till now

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members are good and well qualified.I choose CSE because it is one of the most demanded skills in the industries nowadays, everyone assumes that will be the case in the future also.Difficulty level is not much if you prepare regularly.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Still, now I have not come across any such event due to the online mode I guess. I'm not also looking for internships actively still now.I will start searching for internships after the 4th sem ig, then I will know about that scene better

Placement Experience

After completing 6th-semester students will be eligible for campus placements as far as I heard.A lot of Popular Service-based companies visit our college to hire freshers.2 large recruiters are TCS and Wipro.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm still a 2nd-year student, so I've not experienced the campus scenario till now also it is because our college is going online since admission, but I've heard the placement is quite good here. The total cost is 4 lakhs divided over 4 years.

Campus Life

Our campus is a big USP of our college, It is more beautiful & spacious than most of its competitors here in east India. There is a large football and a basketball ground. There are quite a lot of student groups here.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
