Remarks

The admission process was smooth. You are allotted a seat through online counselling and you are given a set of forms to be filled up after which you pay the first semester fees and you're all set to attend the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is devised by MAKAUT, so it's quite outdated. But the teaching faculty is mostly good. The teachers are well qualified and know their subjects well. You might face some issues with the assistant professors as not all of them are well versed in their respective fields.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester. All the major tech companies like TCS, Infosys, Persistent, Wipro, Hexaware, CloudKaptan, Hitachi, SAP Labs, EPAM, among others visit the college for placements. The highest package is around 9lpa and the average is approximately 4.5lpa. AOT has a hundred per cent placement record over the last few years.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is around Rs 42k for odd semesters and Rs 52k for even semesters(an additional 10k for placement training). There are a lot of scholarships from the government and the college itself provides one for the TFW category and a special one for female students.

Campus Life

Life at the campus is pleasant. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated. The campus itself is very beautiful with a pond at the centre. The annual fest is called Arcadia and is held in the months of March-April. Plenty of books are available from the library and there's also a reading room. There are loads of sports played on campus. There's a basketball court, a volleyball court, and cricket and football grounds. Some students also play badminton.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
