Remarks

The admission process was smooth. A lot of volunteers help at each stage of the admission process. At the time, it was offline. And even now, in online mode, it goes on smoothly with all the assistance one may need.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I like Mathematics, and Statistics is more of an applied Maths type with better placements xD. That's why I chose this course. We are 40 odd students in the department and there are >10 teachers. So the faculty: student ratio is nice. Also, most of the faculty members have done PhD and a few have done a Master. During offline classes, most of the teachers were spot on with their teaching; however, due to several limitations, it has not been the same in online classes. However, a thing I dislike is that most of the teachers are not very open to taking our doubts positively. All the examinations are conducted timely and happen to be of the same level as any usual college exam does.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Thanks to the Placement Cell, there are internship opportunities floated in every possible role and profile, almost every day. There are paid and unpaid internships. Then there are part-time and full time job opportunities. And there are placement drives for final year students regularly.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible for placements from the 4th semester onwards. Several companies from different domains (including the segment leaders) visit the college for placements. The average package is somewhere around 6LPA and the highest exceeds 15 LPA. A significant proportion of students get placements in desired profiles. After getting the degree, I wish to continue with higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees are quite reasonable. Over 3 years, it turns out to be at an average of 14k/year. Also, there are provisions for some relaxation in fees for the financially weaker students. The college also provides scholarships worth Rs 6200 and Rs 1200 respectively to the top 2 students from each course- Sh. Satish Kumar scholarship worth Rs 5000 to the top-ranked and a cheque of Rs 1200 to each. Though I must say that the credit of scholarships is extremely delayed. I didn't take any such opportunities, but the Placement Cell of the College does come up with paid internships, and part-time and full-time job opportunities for students.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest of the college is named Aaghaz which is usually conducted in the month of February, but was conducted in April last year due to unforeseen circumstances. All the course books, several reference books and many other books and journals are available in the library. Classrooms are well equipped both for the students and the faculty. Due importance is given to extracurricular activities and sports. There are societies (and clubs within those) operating for different fields of interest- cultural, art, technical and literary. Among all societies, the Technical society seems to ace it all excellent atmosphere and work culture!

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

Campus placements are for commerce background mostly, usually in 3rd year you might see some placements. I don't know exactly about thr company who visited because I wasn't enrolled in that particular course. Campus placements percentage is very low to be honest . 10-20% mostly. I'll pursue masters.
