I have given WBJEE exam for entering the college .People with AIEEE ranks can also enroll in this college.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide internship. We have to mange it on our own.I have done a internship in NTPC ltd.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are average approx 40 percent get placed. The college does not provide internship. Ee have to mange it on our own. I have done a internship in NTPC ltd.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is minority scholarship which is given. By college there is no such scholarship but college ensures that if you are applying any scholarship outside the college then you get it if you are eligible. Like OBC and other scholarships like merit scholarships.

Alumni/Alumna

There is not very strong but a good alumni network who always try to connect with the college students. My friends from different companies try to take students from college till now.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is followed by MAKAUT university which was formerly known as WBUT. And there are total eight semester in each of which there are two internal exam.

Faculty

The faculties over there are very supportive. My HOD of ECE was very nice to all the students. There are some part time faculties also which is manged by college itself. The course curriculum is very good.

Placement Experience:

The college has a very professional Training and Placement committee. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro visit the college for placement. My department (ECE) has an average of 7LPA. Last year the highest pakage was 85 LPA which was secured by one of our esteemed seniors in JP Morgan Chase. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon also visit our college for placements. The only disadvantage is maximum of these companies are visiting for mass recruit profiles. I plan to go for an MS in USA after securing my degree.

The college lowdown

Placement Experience:

Survival Guide of NIT Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Placements at NIT Durgapur are phenomenal. Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester onwards. Some of the visiting companies include Microsoft, Apple, and JPMC. They offer attractive packages to students, with the highest placement being 50 LPA. The average placement for all the students is around 11LPA. For branches like CSE, ECE and EEE, the average is consistently above 16-17 LPA. The placement percentage is around 80% for CSE students. My plans after getting the degree will be to work in the industry for 1-2 years and then proceed to higher studies abroad.

Good for students who are underprivileged but highly motivated.

The eligibility criteria of the course is rank above 30k in wbjee. The application form is found on the original website of clg and the admission fees is 80k which is included in the course fees, the college takes the application during may-aug. There is reservation benefits for scheduled caste people but I am from general category, so i don't have the experience.
