I have applied earlier in Brainware University but i have choosen this college later on because SURTECH is under MAKAUT which gives a extra added value to our BTECH certificate. Our college recieves admission through counselling as well as direct admission through management quota. So to get admitted in this college you have to clear WBJEE. To get admission in SurTech (yes it is what now we call in short ) all you need is your diploma markshit. Though they ask you for Jelet you can also get admission through the management quota. But for an easy transition, I recommend you to just have your 10th/Diploma/Jelet certification with you. The admission criteria in my college were:- Candidate must pass Higher Secondary(10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a Council/Board recognized by the state govt./Central govt. concerned, with individual pass marks(in both & practical wherever applicable)in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application) having a minimum of 45 % marks in the above subjects taken together(40%for Reserve Category candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates in the said qualifying examination.
