IIT JEE, 140, college is under PU affiliation and on campus college that provides link to Various other department students which will be beneficial so i took admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure is pretty good and beneficial in regards to further study in engineering. meanwhile teachers also provide notes and presentation for the sake of exams and interview regarding difficulties. They share a good bond with the students and we feel free to ask any syllabus regarding questions because teachers are equally good in those subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they do , infact im in the first year of my engineering and yet i have the experience of internship as authorised by the university i am a member of a start-up. So there is a great Chance to make you a better entrepreneur in future.

Placement Experience

Many companies came to recruit students from here including Infosys. I am in the first year of my engineering and yet i have the experience of internship as authorized by the university i am a member of a start-up. So there is a great Chance to make you a better entrepreneur in future.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i don't know about that but yes there are quota for jammu and Kashmir students and scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students. These will he very helpful for them to take admission here. Military and rural quota are also available.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is far more good for a government college and being in Chandigarh will raise you further high. Mess food is Very good and you will surely enjoy it. You should definitely take admission in this college to have a better food and hostel. You will Cherish your days o staying there.

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

Punjab Engineering College through an Unfiltered lens .

Placement Experience:

placement stats of my college is great. Better than most of the colleges out there . Even better than many NITs and IIITs , with an avg package of 14-16 LPA . And every year the Median and Avg package is increasing . Highest package till now - 83 LPA . Students are allowed for campus placements after 5th semister All the big companies out there , from Google , microsoft , amazon to Delloete , JP Morgan , AmericanExpress , to seimens, oracle , L&T , all companies come here . around 70-75% students gets placed from here My plan is to get the highest paying job offer possible for me , that's it .

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC life in a nutshell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
