Remarks
For admission in Keshav Mahavidyalay for BMS, we had to give an entrance exam "DU JAT". Based on our ranks, we were then allotted to the colleges of our choice. I had initially better into Gargi college but had to change my college due to my course not being available there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen BMS due to my interest in doing MBA for post-graduation. The faculty in our college is pretty helpful and seems very knowledgeable. We had frequent tests, assignments, and presentations as we proceeded in our course. The semester-end exams were of moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
They mainly provide Marketing, Finance, and HR internship opportunities. Marketing internships are usually performance-based and the stipend depends on that. In finance, there are internships related to stock markets and for HR, the students have to manage a team that they recruited.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from the 5th semester. Average packages are usually 7 lakhs and the highest is 12 lakhs. My plan after BMS is to do an MBA or go for placements if that doesn't work out.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since it is a government college (DU), the fees are not that high as compared to private colleges. I didn't live in a hostel or a PG so my cost of the study didn't involve it. The placement cell in our college frequently brings in new internships all throughout the year.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted in March end in our college. The library has books available for our syllabus but the library is not open that frequently due to too many strikes. The theatre club "Shades" is a very popular society, we also have music, dance, poetry, photography societies.
