Review of my college after 1 year of b tech.

I applied for, MNIT Bhopal and ISM Dhanbad, my jee advance Rank was 13589 (GEN) and my jee mains rank was 19253 (GEN). So according to my rank, I had three options, MNIT Bhopal eee, BIT Mesra ece and nit Jamshedpur ece. But my first preference was ECE, and placement and fee wise NIT Jamshedpur is a much better option for ECE. For my branch, the cut off was 20k Rank in jee mains 2020 (GEN). Admission was through josaa and it was very hassled free. The best thing about my college is the placements. Teaching is average and there are plenty of internship opportunities.

The main reason which I chose this course was that I had to prepare for the gate. And here we have a very healthy study environment, we get a maximum of 4 classes of 1 hr each (online classes). There are ample faculties for each subject like we have 3 professors for mechanics and similar figures in other subjects too. The teachers are very well experienced and qualified and know very well how to keep students engaged during classes. The semester exams are within a gap of 3 months and they're moderate not too hard nor too easy to pass on.

Internships are provided by TATA steel, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, Qualcomm, Adobe etc. The stipend is also satisfactory and it depends on the scores while qualifying. The internships can start as early as 2nd year.

From 3rd year placement seasons start, a very systematic and well structured process is carried out. The deserving students get their jobs without any conflict. Around 120 companies visit every year total offers are around 500. The highest package is around 41 lpa by tech giants and lowest is sround 3 lacs by service based companies. In CSE exactly 100% students get placed and in ECE around 88%, in eee it is around 83% for mechanical its 66% and for civil it's 55%. I have preplanned my path even before jee mains, I would appear for gate and grab a job in the leading government sectors.

I haven't applied for any scholarships but the fee is very nominal. And for ews students they get most of their fee refunded. There are certain choices for scholarships and proved to be really helpful for the needy.

Unfortunately, we haven't been to the college since our admission so, it'll not be very suitable if I comment on the amenities, but we have very clean and ambient hostels, they're high but don't worry, there are well maintained lifts.

Our hostel has got 7 floors, with lifts, mess food is ok, the menu has lots of varieties. The hostel is really affordable and registration is absolutely hassled free. Overall a very good option to consider. Each room has a balcony and proper clean washrooms.
