Remarks
I applied to several colleges including Maitreyi, Miranda House, Sri Venkateswara, etc. But since Gargi is a whole girls' college, it was more preferred by my parents. The admissions were on 12th merit basis and the eligibility criteria were min. 60% marks in class 12th. There was counseling after shortlisting of students. The admission took almost 2-3 days to complete.
Course Curriculum Overview
I like Biology and I am fond of plants that's why I chose Botany as my subject. Almost all the faculty are highly experienced and are PhDs. They are highly professional and knowledgeable. Our term exams are moderate to difficult. But since our faculty and teaching methods are good, everyone understands the stuff easily.
Internships Opportunities
There are various internship opportunities one can have in the field of management and research. One can keep a check on the official college website. Science students can pursue research with teachers also plus they can look for separate projects also.
Placement Experience
The average placement package is 5-6 Lacs. The maximum placements are in the field of Economics, maths, and commerce. Science as such there are no placements, especially for biology students. I want to pursue master's in bioinformatics after my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite nominal approx 16000 per semester since it is a govt institution. There are various scholarships offered for reserved classes. One can keep a watch on the official du website. Internships are also offered.
Campus Life
Fest is generally held every year in the month of Feb or March. There is a digital library and physical also. There are several books related to your particular subject plus of some foreign authors too. There is a basketball court, tennis court, cricket ground, etc and various games are also played on the campus. There are various clubs for different activities like dance, music, art, etc. Run by the students.
