Deen Dayal Upadhyay college doesn't have the top science faculty. Yes, I applied for the OBC quota. The admission criteria were quite simple, the cut off was 93 for the general category & 90 for the OBC. The counselling was on 21 July 2021, we were totally mesmerized by our college.
Course Curriculum Overview
My interest in 'plants' & 'environment' forced me to choose this subject. Our class has approximate 50 students. The botany faculty of my college is amazing, from students to teachers each & everyone is very cooperative. The level of the examination is only the undergraduate level, the exams held time to time only 1 Or 2 questions you can get out of the syllabus, not more than that apart from that the paper is technical but easy to solve.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of internship opportunities. Students can join as an intern keeping in mind the flexibility of the no of hours, BCS you need to pay attention to your course as well but it's okay, you can learn tons of skills through the internships.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from the third year itself. Last year a student from science got the package of around 10 lac, which is Impressive quiet I guess. 20-30 percent on average. I'll prepare for govt jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is affordable I guess, there are few scholarships that the govt provide, it depends on the student's eligibility criteria only. The placement cell & other societies that provide employment are really very good.
Campus Life
Each year we have a grand fest known as "Reverie" Which is quite famous, it is held every year in February but due to the pandemic we've known idea when will we get to attend it!! The library of our college is good, there are tons of books ranging from arts to science streams. Every year the Department of Physical Education & Sport sciences conduct various events, which is definitely fun to attend There are ample clubs or societies which are run by students themselves like - Girl up glow campaign ( to employ the unprivileged girls of the societies), Samarth (for the PWD students of Gargi college).
