LIFE AT NIT JAMSHEDPUR

I have applied for NIT Jamshedpur and IIIT Lucknow. I have applied for civil engineering at NIT Jamshedpur and an IT course at IIIT Lucknow. I hadn't attended IIIT Lucknow because it was a new college and the future of IIIT Lucknow was not known. For admission to NIT Jamshedpur, there was no minimum age requirement, you only have to score enough in JEE mains so that you can cross the cutoff marks of the course you want to pursue in NIT JAMSHEDPUR. The admission process was simple. After JEE mains Josaa counseling was held and I was allotted a seat for civil engineering course in NIT JAMSHEDPUR then next day I had visited NIT Jamshedpur for physical verification of documents and after verification, I was enrolled in the course

I chose this course because of according to my JEE score this course was the course I can get. The student-faculty ratio is 3:100. Faculty here are highly qualified from the top colleges of the world and all had done Ph.D. They have vast knowledge in their specialization and their teaching method is also very good. they explain everything nicely. Every year there are 2 semesters and it's really difficult here to pass.

The fee for B.Tech is around 800000 lakh for students whose family annual income is more than 5 lakh. If a student's family income is less than 1 lakh then they get full remission of the tuition fee and the effective fee for the course to become around 3.4 lakh and for students whose annual income is between 1lakh to 5 lakh their tuition fees is remitted by amount 2/3 of the tuition fee

There is 5 annual fest every year in NIT Jamshedpur out of these 3 are technical fest,1 is an annual sports fest. They are conducted between Feb to April and then between September to December anytime. Here, you will get the facility of Central library which has more than 75000 books+e-library facility+wifi in Library+ LAN connection in the library. Here every sport is supported and playing areas of specific sports are ready. There are many clubs, groups in the college. One of them is Phoenix.

In the hostel room,you will get fan,a chair,a table,almirah,LAN connection with unlimited data usage. Meal quality is good in the mess and the menu contains almost all types of dishes for non-veg and veg. Registration of hostel is done on the same day when I had admission to the college.. I had to sign some undertakings like not engaging in activities like ragging etc
