Remarks

The admission to Hardinge is purely based on NEET scores. There is NO ANY OTHER WAY to it. LHMC is one of the top medical colleges of India and hence, the cutoff justified. The cutoff generally remains high. The cut-off rank for the general category after the 2nd round of counselling is around 6500. There are no such age criteria. But yes, the criteria apply for NEET. The student should be atleast 17 years of age on 31st December of the year in which you are attempting the exam. I got admitted through EWS Quota. It was my 4th choice ofc after AIIMS D, MAMC, VMMC. And I got it in the first round of counselling. Ofcourse, that was a great moment. After allotment, one has to report at the college on the alloted time and date with all the documents required. You can go through the admission form given on the LHMC site to get the list of documents and everything required to be carried at the time of admission so as to prevent the last minute hustle. And voila, welcome to Hardinge.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS is a dream, being a life saviour is a huge dignity in itself, so no need to elaborate why getting Hardinge in my first attempt was so special for me. It is among the top 5 medical colleges of country and hence, it's education. The faculty here is extremely helpful. They are highly qualified doctors with many degrees. In fact, some are the authors of International books also, what can be greater than that. All the teachers are so supportive and are ready to help you in every time of need. Teaching is both by ppts and demonstrations. There are practicals and dissections also. The students in my batch are 240 and in lecture, there's one teacher but in small groups discussions, there are 6 students over 1 teacher. No need to worry, you have sufficient teachers to teach you. Exams are held here very frequently which helps you memorise the whole syllabus by heart and no panic before exams. You would have a small test almost every week. And the level is average. So you will pass.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship is of a 1-year duration during which you have to work under various departments. You will have regular clinical postings for predecided time period in different departments. And yes ofc, for that, you will be paid a handsome amount. So, the experience is good. Congratulations for being a part of Hardinge.

Placement Experience

5

There are no such placements. Once, you complete the 4.5 yrs of your MBBS, you will have to do a 1-year internship in the college itself making the total duration of the course 5.5 years. For an internship, you will get a stipend of approximately 15000-20000. And yes thereafter, you are eligible to get your MBBS degree. After MBBS, a most accepted option which people prefer is to give NEET PG and do their MD/MS.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the study in the Hardinge is probably the cheapest in the country that is easily affordable by everyone. It's 1355 per year. Yes, the books and other things you require, you will have to purchase yourself. But if you can't purchase that also, talk to the faculty, they will help you in every possible way. Further, there are scholarships also available. Every year, the college provides sufficient scholarships to economically weaker sections. Further, there are various national and state scholarships also available. So it's the most affordable college you can get. So need to worry about finance. Nextly, there is nothing like placements in medical. After completing your MBBS, you will have to do your internship in the college for 1 year for which you will get a stipend of 20000 approx per month and believe me, that's the highest in the country.

Campus Life

4.5

There are two annual fests in Hardinge - COBWEB which is in August/September and SPLASH conducted in February/March. The library in Hardinge is good. You will get all the books and journals required here. The new classrooms built are so good, spacious with central AC. The new building has all the amenities required. Hardinge is active in all sports and extracurricular activities. Although there's no ground in the college, for now, that can be hiered whenever required. The societies of Hardinge are probably the most functional in the whole country. There are all societies to match your taste/interest. Overall, the campus of Hardinge is good. Best advantage- in the prime location of Delhi, the heart, CP. So, there are endless places to roam around and explore.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has been revised in 2019 and the new curriculum (CBME: Competency-Based Medical Education) is all about patient-based approach and clinical approach which is very amazing since that's how we'll be dealing with patients in real life. The faculty of Lady Hardinge is amazing as long as you're willing to learn. The practical sessions especially are the best since you get to see everything you've learnt in theory. The syllabus is very vast and it's very difficult but you can do fairly well if you go through it consistently. The term exams are held before each semester and after every year you need to give professional exams also known as 'proffs'. You'll have to pass the proffs in order to be promoted to next year which is very easy if you have a grip on the basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has 4 to 5 permanent faculties and 2 faculty from the base hospital Delhi Cantt. in each department. That is 1 teacher for approx 15 students. The teachers are all super specialised in their respective fields and mostly all are very efficient in teaching while following the latest MCI guidelines. there are a total of 4 exams a student has to give mid-term, end terms, pre-proof and proofs. The exams are all designed to ensure that the passing students are eligible to be called doctors but not so tough as to fail a lot of students. An average result has about 15 fails in 100 students

I did my MBBS from NDMC Medical College which was worth it. The college has great education system with a good faculty and nice campus with a green cover. The college has a hostel but it is not as good so I would recommend staying outside campus. The training programmes and practicals bring in depth to studying at this college.

There is no negative news about this college, everything is best here. Few points on aiims -*College management is also perfect. *Faculty members never tried to shun their responsibilities with respect to teaching, research and patient care. Senior students were required to teach their juniors on a regular basis, even in OT's (operation theatre). *Get together were organised during celebrations of important festivals which included admitted patients. All religions were given importance.
