Remarks
I applied for the top 5 medical colleges of Delhi including mine and also other states colleges. I got a college in my state and also Delhi's colleges are somewhat better so I attended mine one. I got admission through the OBC quota. Admission is through an entrance test named NEET and also marks and rank matter very much. For a general and OBC candidate marks must be greater than 600 . For other categories greater than 550 is sufficient. The admission process included: -Registration on the official DU and FMSC website. - Filling of choices, locking, and then appearing for final admission in college allotted with all required documents. - Counseling day includes submission of documents and some general questions regarding your documents.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I always wanted to be a doctor. For every 40 students, there is a faculty that I think is quite a good ratio as compared to other colleges. All faculties are highly qualified and their teaching method is quite good. Some teachers include PPT and real models while others prefer to have an interactive session, which depends on teacher to teacher. Normally on average in every two weeks, we have an exam and that's what makes our studies worth it. Because as we all know practice makes us perfect. the difficulty level is as per NMC guidelines.
Internships Opportunities
After four and half years we have to do one year of compulsory internship. This internship includes working under different doctors and specialists in different departments to seek knowledge and guidance. The stipend is as per the NMC curriculum that is normally 8000-12000 in every medical College.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I guess this is the lowest fee college that I have ever seen even less than the fee of AIIMS, it's just Rs 1350 /- per year. That's very less as compared to what we normally spend in one month on junk foods.
Campus Life
There are many societies and clubs which include the participation of their juniors, especially so that they can be friendly with the college environment. We have sports, dance, music, art, and many other societies. But yes due to this covid it has been affecting a lot.
