Entrance Preview

AIIMS medical entrance exam conducted by AIIMS institute itself every 1st July of the year. I scored around 70% (self calculation as the results are not published just the names are presented with rank). Being a doctor is the noblest profession, I was influenced by a book and made up my mind in class 10.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The Indian course of MBBS is very rightly ordered from the way of laying foundation with anat physio and biochemistry and then building towers bigger than 'late world trade centre' is exhaustive yet fun and full of knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

Currently the stipend is 17900, experience is fantastic from 3 months in rural villages in Haryana where u get to treat about 5k patients and around 50 deliveries, apart from rural postings in AIIMS u see a variety and all types of patients from all over the country.

College Events

3

Apart from the national and international conferences on a whole lot of things in medical science. We students have 2 big fests every year Infest which is only for the college people and inter semester competitions take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is the cheapest college in India with a fee of around just 5k inclusive of everything accommodation And academics for 5½ years.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah every 3 topper of each prof is given a sum amount of 10k, 7k, 5k every month and there are also gold medals for topping particular subjects.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is the best..there is no senior junior concept in AIIMS so we have a lot of fun together and with the fact that all semester ppl are scattered there is a good relationship between different batches. The best thing about AIIMS is that it has got a huge diversity from all over the country.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facility is not superb but it's good I would rate it a 7/10 with single rooms and tables and beds and book rack and sulabh people cleaning the hostel every now and then it's not great structure wise but well maintained.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a good interaction with the seniors as stated before everyone lives in the same hostel and we have an alumni dinner every year where AIIMSONIANS from all over the world come up and interact and then we have a group too which includes all the pass out students from the first batch itself 1956.

Exam Structure

At AIIMS MCI is not followed and we have 3 professionals instead of 4 in other colleges. 1st after one year with 3 primary subjects - anatomy physiology and biochemistry, 2nd after one and a half year - with 4 subjects, And the remaining 12 in final year.

Faculty

3

Being in the Harvard of Asia, we cannot doubt the faculty. Every best clinician may not be a good teacher but he is very experienced and knows how to push u above your limits.

The course and curriculum is very relevant with respect to the real life world. Medicine as a field is completely applied on real life patients and to cure them . This was the main aspect which motivated me to choose this course as I get to experience everything practically.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum suggesteg by the national medical council is strictly followed in the Lady Hardinge Medical College and hospital and the curriculum is quite student friendly The clinical postings start from the decision year itself which makes your interest for the subject grow even more . Your final year subjects also start from the second year itself. What I'll like to suggest is there must be more if small group discussions and interactive sessions. The exams are moderately difficult. There are two term examination , one sent ups and then finally one professional examinations ( finals) each year . You need to get through all to reach the final year
