Remarks

I chose this college because only this college was available to me in this rank at Delhi. The good aspect is it is a govt medical college in Delhi under IPU. Located near DU North Campus The bad aspect is lack of infrastructure, hospital supplies not adequate, and no open field or sports facility. The admission process is through NEET UG rank. Upon counseling, college is allotted according to rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Because I wanted to become a doctor. Faculty: student ratio is good. For 50 students atleast 5 professors are there for each department including HOD, Assist Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Residents, and Lab assistants. Faculties are well qualified. Generally, they have done MBBS, MD and some are with the PhD in their field. The teaching method is great for some and not so great for some. Very few teachers not any good. But that's not the problem as many other teachers are there to teach in that department. There is a part completion test at the end of each unit like class tests in each subject. Semester exams are conducted in the mid-year which is the part of internal with practicals. At the end of the year pre-university exam is conducted which is also internal and then university professional exams (external) are conducted with practicals (externals are called to asses) It's difficult to pass in MBBS as the passing percentage is 50%

Internships Opportunities

4

It's a compulsory internship of 1 year in the same hospital after graduation. A stipend of around Rs. 23,000 is offered During the internship, the student in various departments of the hospital learn from the senior doctors And the patient input is very good and the student gets to see many cases

Placement Experience

5

In MBBS there are no such placement procedures as in engineering Almost 100% of students get easily placed at hospitals. But many opt for getting a PG seat by preparing and clearing NEET PG. Many take drop years for it My plan is to prepare for NEET PG and Clear it after getting the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

According to medical college, the fees are good. Scholarships are provided for lower caste people and anyone can defense can avail their respective scholarships During 1 year internship, you get a stipend of around Rs. 23,000 After completion of the internship, students can apply for jobs in the same hospital or other hospitals. The same hospital will definitely give some preference as you were their student.

Campus Life

3.5

Fests (Arrhythmia) are conducted every year. Month is not specific Wide range of.medical books available in the library Classroom have ACs, White board, Projector and screen. Now Smart TV have been installed in some lecture halls which has made the teaching easy. Extra curricular activities like literacy club, NMO are there Football and Cricket team is there and students can take part in individual sports in the college fests of same or other colleges

Hostel Facilities

4.5

One big room for 3 seater Have a balcony, attached bathroom, 2 chairs, 2 tables, 1 cupboard, 2 beds are provided Depends on which hostel you get. Other hostels have a common bathroom. A new hostel is a construction about to get finish. Meal is fairly good. You can order something else if you don't like what is made. Mess fees is not compulsory so you're free to eat outside anytime without worrying about mess fees being paid. Registration is through application to the Dean office. They allot hostels according to distance or any other good reason. Many PGs are available nearby in Malka Ganj and Kamla Nagar since North Campus of DU is there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Bcoz in mbbs in addition to money there is also a lot of respect, plus it is easy to explain what are u doing ? 2. There are a total of 100 students in our batch and there are at least 2-3 assistant professors, 1 head of department, and at least 4-5 postgraduate and senior residents 3. Assistant professor and Head of the department has already completed there pg's and has experience of 5-10 year of teaching, Senior resident had also completed their pg but the difference between sr's, AP, and HoD is that sr's have lack of experience 4. There is an exam after completion of a particular unit and this is easy then comes the term exam which occurs after 2-3 months it comes under the category of moderate then there is pre-proof before the proof this is quite hard even for some say it's harder than proof, then finally comes off the last exam of that particular year after proof another year start bcoz results of proof usually take 2,3,4 weeks at least
