Remarks

If you want to study in DU you obviously want to get North Campus and SGTB Khalsa College is in North Campus only, to be honest, there are better colleges than this in South campus too like Venky and Gargi, but to get that campus feel and exposure you can prefer SGTB Khalsa. Although it is a Sikh Minority college, it has not very heterogeneous environment like other colleges of NC but the crowd at Khalsa is undoubtedly among the best. The infrastructure is modern and the college portal works effectively even in online classes. The admission procedure is the same as all other colleges you need to fill the DU registration form and then you need to wait for the cut offs. Then you can apply to the selected college. Teachers are very qualified in DU, you'll never lack a quality education, the library is there with you and obviously your classmates who will help you with study materials. SGTB Khalsa is I guess the greenest college and very peaceful, you can enjoy sitting and sipping your coffee in Jannat.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The BA Hons History faculty is amazing, you'll not lack good quality education at any moment in this college, teachers are ready to help you, you can call or text them. Well, make sure you ask your teacher first before calling. They will surely help you. I am studying in this college and yes, I completely agree with the fact that teaches are very helpful whether you want a suggestion for accommodation in hostel, studies, career, etc. Teachers are very cool too. I'll not mention their name but my teachers are very cool and friendly.

Internships Opportunities

4

You'll get a lot of internship opportunities, the placement cell of SGTB Khalsa College, Ignite, is very active, they never fail to bring the best companies. You can start doing internships from 1st year only, there are both paid and unpaid internships. It will help you enhance your CV and you'll get become confidential too. Go ahead!!

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a bit high as compared to other colleges, but still, 21k per year is worth it for Khalsa. Apart from the yearly fee, you need to submit the examination fee. The Placement cell of SGTB Khalsa, Ignite, is very good. You'll get a lot of internship opportunities.

Campus Life

4.5

Khalsa's fest is best, well all the students say that their college fest is best, and that's true, fests are best. You'll eat, dance, enjoy, participate in different activities and whatnot. As far as extracurricular activities are concerned, sports is very famous at Khalsa college, there is a stadium on the college campus only. There are a number of societies operating in college, debating, poetry, dancing, singing, etc. NSS and NCC are also there. You'll never face monotonous life. you'll always have many things to explore.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
