SGGSCC - one of the underrated but best colleges in DU.

So my rank was 239 in DU JAT and I was getting every college except SSCBS which is ranked 1. I had an option to choose from Keshav, DDUC and SGGSCC. Although google showed me Keshav and DDUC are better than SGGSCC but I still went there because the crowd is excellent(no SC/ST) plus infrastructure is one of the best in Delhi, the faculty here is highly skilled and really supportive, located in pritampura which is close to my house, the placements here are descent enough(value for money is high),also I asked a few of my friends who are studying in SGGSCC and SSCBS and all of them said SGGSCC is much more highly ranked than Keshav and DDUC. The reason I found google ranking it below them for BMS was SGGSCC has started this course 3 years later only and So I decided to go for this college. I used college comparison tool offered by Collegedunia and College Dekho and also other sites such as MBA world.

While exploring my career options, I never wished to go for bcom/bcom hons as I did not find much scope of doing it. I always wished to go for management and BMS being a professional course was ideal for me. SGGSCC is known for its quality teaching and the teachers here are really supportive. I have not been to college due to lockdown and all but according to me student teacher ratio should be around 1 teacher for 15 students. All the teachers here are well qualified and they not only teach but also conduct research and all in their respective fields. The teachers are well equipped with and known to various software that we are taught in the classes. We were provided a proper time period between the mid semester exams and the end semester exams were also timely managed by DU. These were easy, although the results are not out yet but I feel I will be able to clear with flying colors.

We receive internship offers everyday in different fields like marketing, finance, HR, graphic designer, web developer and much more. The highest stipend I have seen is 15000 per month and these also include unpaid internships as well.

Most of the students pursuing BMS go for MBA through cat and GMAT from here but yes 20-25% students do go for interviews to be placed. This year the average package of BMS stood at 5.2 lakhs and highest package being 10 lakhs. I have decided to go for MBA, aiming IIM Bangalore.

SGGSCC being one of the most expensive colleges of DU, my fee for BMS is 44100, if you compare it with other colleges like DDUC has around 20000-25000 fee but the facilities provided here are much more than the other colleges. Cricket ground, auditorium and all is excellent , mess here is neat and clean which is not the case with other colleges. So it provides you value for money. The college do not provide any scholarship according to me. Financial assistance may or may not provide I am not sure. I am currently pursuing BMS so no job offered but yes the placement and internship cell is quite active and we everyday receive a new offer for paid internship.

SGGSCC is the only college of DU IG which has more than 50 societies. The college promotes extra curricular activities, with the 2nd biggest college cricket ground, volley ball court, one of the best auditoriums, and an amazing library with more than 50000 books available both online and offline makes it quite cool. The fest here is of 2 days, although other DU colleges generally conduct for 3 days and also the fest here is underrated but is not bad at all. Every year a good amount of spending, new Punjabi singers coming, great events organized by the societies, makes it quite unique and interesting and that makes the fest one of top 5 fests of DU.
