Remarks

I had applied for two colleges here in kolkata and they were St.Xavier's College and JD Birla. I had to sit for an entrance exam for xavier's college, for which i had not prepared thoroughly to be honest so i could not crack the exam. While i was shortlisted for the personal interview round in J D Birla. According to my findings these two were the best colleges for BBA in kolkata be it in academics, exposure, placement or fests.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty is very good and helpful. Teaching is good enough, all the faculty members are experienced and educated enough for the updated and modern techniques of teaching. The teachers at times may be very strict in terms of academics or discipline but they are very helpful and they always clear our doubts. Even offline we get a lot of help as we have a WhatsApp group.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 480000 per year

Placement Experience

The highest package is 3.5 lacs and the lowest is 1.2 and the average is about 1.5 lacs. Company recruiters come for placement and maximum students are placed with relevant KRA and job roles. Internships are there for all the students and every specialisation. The internship companies are very good and give a good learning career-oriented experience. The companies for internship are Exide batteries, Wipro, Decathalon, Edelweiss, Future General, Wow momos, IDBI bank etc.

College Events

We have a very huge annual name - JDBI fest aka Invictus. Colleges from all over Calcutta are invited to participate in that fest. The celebrity performances here has always been the best. Apart from the fest, college life is all about punctuality, if not in time, you miss your class.

Placement Experience:

Yes, there is a placement cell at the university campus. It conducts placement related activities and programs for the students. Students are eligible for the campus placement from the 5th semester. Some companies visit the campus to hire the students. Some of the companies are E&Y, SAP, Deloitte, TCS and they have made total approximately 40 offers out of 100 students. The highest and average package of our university is 28Lakhs and 5-6Lakhs for the role of SDE. The percentage of students getting placements if about 40-45%. The seniors told me that the companies offer good packages to the students. I am in my second year so I do not have much information about it. After completing degree from this university, I'm thinking to appear for GATE examination as I want to do my Master's from IIT's.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester student got placement and there is no limitation for placement. There are so many companies visited the campus, such as (amazon, microsoft, JP morgon, TCS , infosys, Oracle , and many more..) , they offer more than 700 to 800 students. The average package of CSE branch is approx 22 LPA and highest package is 82 LPA. There are 80 to 90 percent student who got placed. My plan after getting the job is to work hard and explore the world.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.
