Remarks
The primary reason was that it was located in my hometown. Further, the BBA programme was better at JDBI than anywhere else in the city at the time. I loved the finance teachers in my 3rd Year. Everyone seemed very approachable and friendly and helped me with my goals beautifully.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum was fairly well structured. Especially in the semester we had our specialisation subjects. We had regular seminars from industry experts. For example, GST was introduced to us briefly via seminars, due to its sudden implementation nationwide it wasn’t incorporated in the curriculum at once. Special mention to Mr Bhargav Majumdar. He is one teacher I will always fondly remember.
Placement Experience
I did not sit for placements because I started my own venture called Baby Steps, so not much insight regarding placements. But I know companies like Deloitte, Tresvista, Futures First, Wipro, ITC did rounds of interviews.
College Events
We held one annual fest called Invictus, which I was an active part of. We’ve had guest performers such as Amaal Malik in the past. Besides we have other interest based clubs like Photography, Entrepreneurship etc which hold events all year round.
Campus Life
The college is essentially the top 3 floors of Birla High School. The library was decent and books I wanted were available. We couldn’t connect to the wifi on our phones but the speed on or laptops were good. The IT support was helpful. I’d have loved a bigger campus though. However since its situated in Moira Street, everything a student wants is in proximity.
