Remarks

My will to see myself as a well established entrepreneur, urged me to pursue BBA. I came to know about J.D. Birla Institute of Management, from one of my close cousins. The fact that this campus gives us all a lot of exposure and training, regarding the events which take place in a business environment closely, through various modes of teaching, is why anyone should opt for this Institute. Affiliated under The Jadavpur University, this college holds a brand recognition and reputation. From the campus to the faculty, the professors to the other non-teaching staff, each and every person related to this Institute helps a student to ace the academics as well as extra-curriculars activities with their greatest of efforts right from the scratch!

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Be it course syllabus, college events or holidays, our college always updated us regarding everything from beforehand. There was never a last minute rush! We didn't have much of an industrial exposure practically, but we were given a theoretical knowledge about it. The faculty members of our college is like our family, I wouldn't name one of them but all of them are my favourites.

Placement Experience

4

Our college as mentioned earlier, gives a lot of opportunities and exposure. All the job referrals and placement offers are given to us at the 6th semester itself, keeping in mind the specialisation we've chosen for ourselves. A lot of my seniors have got a job in 98.5 Red FM. As our package depends on the marks obtained, highest of now has been 9 lakh/year.

College Events

4.5

Being a part of this Institute has always been an immense pleasure. Our college has always organised events and festivals to embrace the Indian Culture. Apart from Independence Day and Republic Day, we celebrate Saraswati Puja. Not only this, we also have annual day celebrations and Freshers and Farewell for the students. We have various other College events organised by various clubs. We have an Inter-College Fest Viz. INVINTUS along with a lot of prize distribution ceremonies and seminars. Our professors have always encouraged us to take part not in one, but ALLL of them

Campus Life

4.5

I college shares ¼th of it's campus with the Birla High School (BHS). We have an auditorium, the air-conditioned classrooms are large enough allowing an accomodation of atleast 60-70 students at once. We have a library (LRC), 2 computer labs, a seminar hall, and a MMA hall. We have proper sanitation facilities for both boys and girls separately. Not to mention, we have a sick room as well.

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
